The game, released in November 2000, features player characters and the name of Otoko to name the character living in the city. It was the first video game to feature a female protagonist. KoHo was also the first to feature female prototype characters.Technical Credits Production Beautiful, complicated work. Works by many talented artists that are all incredibly detailed. Aesthetics The characters are easy to draw and an inspiration for many anime and manga. The game's artistic style is often compared to that of Ayumu Sasami's "Kanayo" manga from Studio Ghibli. Sasaki (who also co-created the previous game) was inspired by the Japanese landscape. The background used in the game is dark blue. The characters, as well as the world, are also kept dark blue compared to the other games. The City of Ootaku is each shot below the world's size and is imprinted in the sky. sound track The music was composed by Japanese composer Akira Sakamoto; the soundtrack was released on the 12" and CD-ROM versions in 2007, the 2CD version is uploaded to the NCSoft website. The soundtracks were released on March 11, 2007. Promotion The series was produced in and around Tokyo, the city of the main character Ootaka.
